- BEING A PART OF THE PROBLEM:
- Fails to contact the office.
- Makes unnecessary and superfluous transmission in the belief that if the air isn't being used, why not use it?
- Being verbose, wordy, long winded, or redundant.
- Person is enrolled in multiple organizations and responds to the one of his or her choice of the moment.
- Person accepts responsibilities but fails to deliver.
- Finds excuses not to attend training meetings.
- BEING PART OF THE SOLUTION:
- During a known emergency, volunteer staff people call in to advise of their availability status. They do not wait to be called.
- Remain off the air unless transmission is essential to the mission. Remains monitoring.
- Keeps all tactical and internal communications concise, simple, and relevant.
- If on a RACES staff, responds to mobilization callout when requested.
- Accepts responsibilities and meets expectations.
- Attends training and other necessary meetings.
